Marcin Przychodny – New President of TWG 2017

Marcin Przychodny took over today as President of the Organizing Committee of The World Games 2017 in Wrocław/Poland. The same day Adam Roczek took over the duties of his deputy.

This was announced by Rafal Dutkiewiecz, Mayor of Wroclaw, in a letter to José Peruena, President of the International World Games Association. Mayor Dutkiewiecz stressed in his letter: “I am convinced that the knowledge and experience of the newly established Board will help to organize very successful Games in Wrocław.” The 10th edition of The World Games will take place from 20 to 30 July 2017.

Marcin Przychodny is a former member of the Organizing Committees for the UEFA EURO 2012 in Wrocław and for the FIS Cross-Country Skiing World Cup in Szklarska Poręba – Jakuszyce. For the last few years he served as Director of the Sports Department in the Lower Silesia Regional Government. Adam Roczek is the acting President of the European University Sports Association as well as Deputy President of the Polish University Sports Association.

Mr. Przychodny took over from Piotr Przygonski who served in the office of President until January 2015. The position of Vice-President had been vacant since summer 2015.
